Sugo Sync
Your timers, on every computer.
Make a timer once, and it is there on your other computer too. Private by design: only your computers can read them.
Sugo Sync is on its way. Until then, Sugo works on its own, as it always has.
What it does
Set it up once, use it everywhere.
Make a timer called “Deep work” on your Linux PC, and it shows up on your Mac. Change it on one, and the other follows.
Kept the same
- Your timers: their names, their times and their options
- The Pomodoro timer Sugo starts with, if you changed it
Stays on each computer
- Which timer is selected
- Your preferences
- Your history and statistics, for now
Getting started
Connect a computer in three steps.
You sign in on this website, in any browser, even on your phone. No password to type into Sugo.
-
Turn on Sync in Sugo
Sugo shows you a short code, like K7Q-4MD.
-
Type it on this website
Go to sugo.stream/link, sign in with your email, Google or GitHub, and type the code.
-
Confirm on your other computer
For your second computer: both screens show the same six numbers. Check that they match, and confirm.
Privacy
Private, even from us.
Before your timers leave your computer, Sugo locks them with a key that only your computers have. We store the locked copy and pass it on to your other computer, but we cannot open it, and neither can anyone else. This is what people call end-to-end encryption.
What we keep, in short
- Your email address So you can sign in.
- The names of your computers So you can see them, and remove one when you need to.
- Your timers, locked We keep the locked copy, and we cannot open it.
When you turn on Sync, Sugo gives you a recovery code. Write it down and keep it safe: if you ever lose all your computers, it is the only way to get your timers back.
No tracking, no ads, and we never sell anything. The privacy policy lists everything we keep, and for how long.

Questions
Do I need an account to use Sugo?
No. Sugo works on its own and keeps everything on your computer. You only need an account for Sugo Sync.
Can you see my timers?
No. Sugo locks them on your computer before they are sent, and only your computers have the key. We only ever hold the locked copy.
What if I lose a computer, or sell it?
Remove it on your account page. It stops syncing straight away, even if it is switched off, and you can connect another one in its place.
What is the recovery code for?
When you turn on Sync, Sugo gives you a recovery code. If you ever lose all your computers, it lets you get your timers back on a new one. Write it down or print it and keep it somewhere safe: without it and without your computers, nobody can open your timers, not even us.
Will it work on my computer?
Sync keeps its key in your computer's built-in password storage. Macs and almost all Linux computers have one; if yours does not, Sugo tells you and Sync stays off.
How do I delete my account?
On your account page, whenever you like. Your account and everything we keep is deleted. The timers on your computers stay where they are.
